Untangle - Web Filtering, VPN, Firewall, Network Gateway

The Untangle Gateway brings together a list of applications and functions that simplify a combination of daily administrative network tasks. Like most commercial open source products, you need to buy the Professional Package to get some of the higher end features.

However, most of the core functionality is included in the open source version. It comes installed in one box, running on linux, with a well designed, tight virtual rack interface. All accessible via a web browser/remote access. Usually fits into existing networks as a router or a transparent bridge. It's a good solution for small to mid size companies who don't rely on Active Directory for proxy authorization. Some of it's key 18 integrated apps include:
