Firmware updates for Canon DSLR Cameras

For those with Canon's 50D, 450D or 1000D digital SLRs, Canon just released firmware updates for these models. The EOS 50D, Rebel XSi (450D) and Rebel XS (1000D) get support the AF assist beam feature on Canon's Speedlight 270 EX flashgun. The 50D update fixes vertical banding noise and a few other issues:
